Google Mandiant Community Night

I was invited by Google Cloud to attend their “Mandiant Community Night” where senior members of the Mandiant team shared their war stories about Red team engagements and intresting security research finds. The event was also a chance to network with other members of the cybersecurity community. It was great fun!

Some takeaways from the event:

• Well-named user / file / credential canaries can be an excellent early detection tool
• Good Network Segregation is as strong as its always been
• The importance of coverage of security tooling across the entire estate
