Kube Con 2025

As part of my new role at Control plane I was invited to attend KubeCon in London, which Ccontrol plane had a booth at. KubeCon was a fantastic experience for me. I’ve always been floating around the kubernetes ecosystem but never realised how big it was and how many companies and open source projects surround it. The few days were extremely eye-opening and I really enjoyed getting involved chatting to every booth and project and trying to learn as much as possible.

Control plane ran the capture the flag event which was great for brushing up on my kubectl skills and I attended quite a few talks around hacking kubernetes.

IAM has always been a huge area of interest for me. SO my favourite part of the event was getting to talk to the maintainers of open source IAM systems such as TUF, Spiffe, certmanager, etc. In addition to talking to Zed and Cerbos, leading the Cloud based AuthZ space.
